Villanova, a nationally renowned higher education University, released it’s 10 Year Strategic Plan. The plan guides the University forward into its next era of greatness, building upon its strengths to enhance the Villanova experience for the entire community.

EffectiV provided web design services for this leader in higher education to create an immersive experience. The publication was custom coded to seamlessly translate the printed book into a digital version. The same sweeping imagery from the book comes to life through cascading scroll effects and custom animations.

Custom Coded for an Immersive User Experience (UX)

EffectiV translated an already beautiful print publication into an engaging single page website. The site delivers an enhanced user experience to captivate users with content that flows easily from one section to the next. Custom parallax effects give principle imagery and content elements the illusion of depth as the user seamlessly scrolls up and down the page.

A simple, single-click navigation menu was designed to ensure users can intuitively explore page content, almost without thinking. The menu employs fixed position buttons for toggling above and below each section with ease.

Parallax effects are combined with off canvas fly-in animations to create an immersive experience. As the user scrolls beautiful imagery combines with headlines and copy as if spilling onto the screen just as each section comes into focus.

Web Accessibility, Usability, and Inclusion

As a leading university, Villanova adheres to rigorous web accessibility standards. It prides itself in employing technologies that are carefully considered and vetted to ensure content and resources are accessible to all users.

EffectiV worked directly with key team members of Villanova’s Information Technology department to review accessibility standards and proactively audit web page code as it was developed.
